Minor Retouching
Minor retouching of a photo may involve adjustment of brightness and contrast values, darkening images that have faded through the years, minor burning and dodging of areas of a photo that are too dark or too light, color adjustment, transforming a sepia-toned photo into a black-and-white or a black-and-white photo into a sepia-tone, removal of minor spots, dust, scratches and stains, resizing, and sharpening of an image.
Minor retouching does not include retouching in detailed areas. Facial areas usually are not retouched in minor retouching except for marks in which there is no detail.
Description of example 2
The below photo required a significant amount of touch-up of blotches in the background area, but in this case was still not too significant for a minor touch-up as no detail was involved. Very minor repair was needed in the forehead area. There was also color adjustment. Rather than taking the photo to black-and-white, a warmer tone was chosen. The tone of sepia discoloration of the original photo may have been kept as well, or another shade of sepia tone applied. Image 2 Before retouching.
